You’re not a number but when you first create a LinkedIn profile it generates a URL with a bunch of random numbers.
The thing is, it looks a bit amateur when you send it out or people click on your profile.
By customising your LinkedIn URL, you can make your profile more attractive and increase your visibility, leading to more professional connections.
Here’s how you do it:
1. Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
2. Click View Profile.
3. Click Edit public profile & URL on the right side.
– Note: You’ll be redirected to the Public profile settings page.
4. Under Edit your custom URL on the right side, click the Edit icon next to your public profile URL.
5. Type or edit the last part of your new custom public profile URL in the text box.
6. Click Save.
Things to remember:
– Custom public profile URLs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
– You can only have one custom public profile URL at a time.
– Your custom URL can be 3-100 characters long. Don’t use spaces, symbols, or special characters.
– You can change your custom public profile URL up to five times within six months.
