Can you really write about my business?

In short, yes. It’s very much a collaborative approach with you as the experts in your industry and us as the experts at creating copy and content that engages an audience. Together, we are a formidable team.

 

Everyone says I should be blogging, is that right?

 

Not necessarily. A wise Content Marketing bloke called Arjun Basu once said, “Without strategy, content is just stuff, and the world has enough.” In other words, bashing out blogs for the sake of it can do more harm than good. First, work out exactly what you want to achieve from your efforts, who you want to target and what you want them to do. Only then can you start to build a Content Strategy that’s likely to engage an audience rather than bore them.

What is a Content Strategy and why do I need it?

People buy from brands that they like and trust and creating content that your audience likes is a major part of getting people to buy into your brand values and trust you over your competitors. As you’d expect, The Content Marketing Institute has a good summary:

 

“Content marketing is the strategic marketing approach of creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and acquire a clearly defined audience – with the objective of driving profitable customer action.”

A bit wordy, right? Here’s a snappier version:

 

“Traditional marketing and advertising is telling the world you’re a rock star. Content Marketing is showing the world that you are one.”

 

How much is some content writing or a strategic plan going to cost me?

 

Annoyingly there are no prices on this website. Sorry about that. The reason being that every company is different and so is the way that they need to engage with an audience. Our strategies are not one-size-fits-all so it’s best to get in touch and we can talk about your goals. We can probably give you a ball-park figure after a quick chat.

I’ve never used a content writer before, how do you work?

Typically, you complete the briefing document and we talk it through. We then send you a content plan for the project, which you sign off. Then we start writing. You’ll get a first draft and you make some amends. The second draft usually only requires a few tweaks, and then we send you the final version.

Where is Connect Content based? Can we meet up?

We are based in Sydney, a stone’s throw from the CBD, and we are happy to meet up if we think that meeting in person will be of benefit. Often, completing the briefing document and a conversation or two about your Content Marketing project on the phone or via Skype is enough.
